non religious is up over 30% now. another record. education is slowly winning over superstition. as soon as this generation dies out it will change even more:

Gallup classifies 40% of Americans nationwide as very religious -- based on their statement that religion is an important part of their daily life and that they attend religious services every week or almost every week. Another 32% of Americans are nonreligious, based on their statement that religion is not an important part of their daily life and that they seldom or never attend religious services.

Only a zealout like you would try and turn those stats into your headline.

1. How is that new or different
2. the poll and the classification are close to meaningless

These overall national averages, however, conceal dramatic regional differences in religiosity across the 50 states and the District of Columbia. 4. Many of the people classified as non religious would still say they believe in God and many would still identify as part of a religious group.

5. We also know that people tend to forget about God during their single and trying to get laid years and return when they start raising families or getting older and wondering about meaning and afterlife.

No thinker... your stats are meaningless. your bigotry is manifest your ideas are filled with hate. You are what you despise.
