Reliable source of stock splits?

I have yet to find a completely reliable source for splits as well. NxCore did get this one right, but sometimes their splits are wrong as well, as they just echo back the data they receive from the exchanges. Yahoo Finance has it correctly as well, at least in their "Historical Prices" listing.

Nasdaq has a "daily list" product via FTP that has splits, but if you get it from them it looks like it costs $1500 per month. Maybe some other data service resells this data more cheaply -- if anyone knows of a reseller for this list, please let me know. Also, I'm not sure whether it's more accurate than any other source. I certainly wouldn't want to fork over $1500/month just to find out. (Actually I'd guess it's more like a minimum of $18000 as they seem to want a 1-year contract for at least some of their products :eek:.)

Unfortunately I don't know what the "gold standard" is for accurate split information that's also fairly simple (yet not overly simplistic). Anybody else have some insight in this?
