Oh, and here's Obama saying that this wasn't what the founders had in mind, back when he was in the Senate.

So under Bush, that rule is bad. Under Obama, it's good. I hope Reid is alive to see this decision bite him and the Democrats in the ass - multiple times.

What this means is they're going all in for 2014. They know come next November it's all over. They will push the radical left agenda for all it's worth over the course of the next year. We're probably witnessing the end of America as we know it. It won't be that simple to undo the damage.
 
What would be awesome is the Republicans get control of the senate in 2014, then the white house in 2016. Then, when a supreme court judge is set for appointment, they pick someone like Rush Limbaugh to be the justice, and pass it because they can. The howling from the left will reach the moon and I'll bask in it.

Fully expect at least one of the leftist judges to retire in 2014. They're going to appoint as many radicals, and push as many leftist agendas as they can next year.

Nuclear option doesn't apply for SCOTUS nominations. Will still need 60 votes.

The purpose of this option was to load the DC District Court with liberals as that court is usually the final say of all legislative matters coming from Congress.

The GOP won't win again because no strategy that they come up with be free from being snooped upon and countered before they even get the chance to roll it out.

You would think the Republicans would be the most vocal against allowing that kind of snooping - but from their votes in favor, I guess not....

Vote Libertarian and get rid of both shitty parties. The Republicans talk a big game, but they always give in when the going gets tough.
