No rational person can accept the bible as acceptable
evidence for claims as grand as god.

Greek mythology didnt become "mythology" until after
the christians took over the area with THEIR mythical beliefs.

So we challenge you to explain WHY the christian bible

The Bible is NOT proof of God. No argument there. But it does purport to be a collection of eyewitness accounts (New Testament) and stories and psalms (Old Testament). The New Testament is divided into Gospels of the Apostles. You either believe it or you don't.

Because I believe in God and I was raised a Catholic. Since I have not encountered any evidence that disproves God or Christianity, my belief system still stands.

you know what irks me the most about you religious types? that you seem to think you stand on higher moral ground than atheists.

that is one of the greatest lies ever believed.

as i've said, i used to be a christian, and well before i was aware of the powerful arguments and evidence against christianity, my own conscience caused me to reject it on MORAL GROUNDS. yes, you read that right, on moral grounds.

history has conclusively proven that the more "god" there is, the more trouble for mankind.

don't christians realise that members of other religions feel just as strongly (perhaps even more so) that THEY are the ones with the TRUE FAITH. it is simply IMPOSSIBLE to reconcile members of two or more different faiths. again, don't take it on my opinion, look to history as a guide. the only mutually beneficial solution is for mankind to reject ALL religion. and if rejecting it on humanitarian grounds isn't enough, well, we also have the extremely powerful rational arguments against this god nonsense.

and of course, with christianity, the bible is soooo full of morally OUTRAGEOUS actions on the part of god that every single peace loving human being should be immediately repulsed by it.

you see, that is where you are MOST CERTAINLY WRONG. there are NO eye witness accounts of jesus in the bible. NONE.

in fact, the gospels contradict each other so much that i can't see how anyone can claim they point to any kind of "truth" whatsoever.

i seriously doubt whether you would care to investigate the evidence that shows the new testament to be a load of fabricated rubbish. but if you are, i would be quite glad to share it with you. quite glad.
