To know the truth, which is love, is like knowing your wife or husband, but infinitely more. IMO, while we're here, we can't handle the truth, not all of it, but we can prepare ourselves.:)

You are correct. He said, "If I abide in you and you abide in me, ask what you will, ask what you will". This means if you live as he commands(abide in him), then whatever you want, just ask and it will be done. Remember, a man of God is going to ask for things that are of God and not of the world. Being healthy is God's will. So, if you think that you can ask for a million dollars so you can live high on the hog, then forget it. God doesn't entertain such foolishness and he knows exactly what's in your heart. Bottom line, sin leads to death and righteousness leads life and prosperity forever.

Man doesn't operate as he was designed. Fornication, selfishness, adultery, lasciviousness, pride, ect.. are not "rational faculty" as you put it. Love, compassion, mercy, selflessness, ect.. are what we are intended to do and thus our world would run as it was meant to. All the animals, rodents and insects of the world do(God given instincts) and that's why everything is their lives run smoothly. What you are doing is blaming God for man's choices(works of Satan) thus you are barking up the wrong tree. "Accountability" is the key word here and you seem to conveniently ignore that.
