i agree, stu. religion of any kind should not be taught in public schools. however, i still revert to my basic premise that evolution is a theory and should be taught as such.

if they actually cared to examine the historical evidence (and the lack thereof), it is impossible to come to any other rational conclusion other than that jesus never existed.
"Jesus did have a number of disagreements with the extremists of Judaism at the time. The path he charts is one of a new and more open understanding of the laws of Jewish life," said Eric Meyers, professor of Judaic studies at Duke University, another consulting scholar.
how? how the fuck could jesus have had disagreements with extremists if he never existed??? unbelievable what passes for "documentaries" these days. at the very least an admission should be made that the existance of jesus should not be accepted as axiomatic, but is an open question. how about some intellectual honesty folks?

Carl Sagan, âThe persistence of bamboozleâ
âOne of the saddest lessons of history is this: If weâve been bamboozled long enough we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. Weâre no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge even to ourselves that weâve been so credulous. So the old bamboozles tend to persist as the new bamboozles rise.â

(you might wanna come to infidels.org, where the big boys play, not this petty ET crap) i think i have a pretty good idea of what i'm talking about, and of the "evidence" the christian brings to the table.

i beg to differ. there are COPIOUS amounts of doubt as to the existance of the man.
and furthermore, even if the man did exist, doubting his divinity is by no means "pointless", it is the right and honorable thing to do.
of course, the twisted god of christianity doesn't see it that way. but, what the hell, he's as fake as they come too.
EDIT. just read that baloney you site as "evidence". buddy, i have a feeling you're very new to all this, so i highly doubt you'll be able to show me something that i haven't seen refuted a thousand times. i cannot say with absolute certainty that such a man never existed, but the weight of evidence against it is absolutely overwhelming, which is why i say the only rational conclusion is to assume he never did.
