Everyone's been making shoes for near two thousand years
It’s been my personal experience over the past couple decades that the US-made New Balance shoes don’t fall apart in six months time as compared to the Chinese-made NB. Obviously other customers concur because NB manufactures their top tier finished shoes in the US and in the UK.
I’m sure that the materials in the US/UK shoes are superior - could those superior materials be sewn and glued together in China ? Sure. But manufacturing a segment of their product line in the US and in the UK is definitely working out for New Balance.
And if New Balance can do it - Red Wing can do it.
