tough day....
CIEN slapped me in the face all day. Actually, had nothing to do with CIEN but my failure to walk out the door. Started out as a profitable trade yesterday and should have been flat at the close. Needed to go early and forgot that I had a limit order which of course was filled. Was not very worried about it after seeing it last night as the signal is usually lower on the open but that was not the case.
averaged up the stock all day which for the most part caused me to dig a deeper hold. (did sell at the top of the day at 44.35 but not enough to make a difference). I guess I can be too upset as this works more often than not and overall I am up with this exit method.
In the end I gave up most of the profit from Monday and Tuesday and ended a two week winning run.
Did have some profitable trades today, the swings from yesterday worked out but would have done better if I was able to stay at the computer during all the trading hours.
