Recommended Broker for eMini S&P 500 Futures

Quote from TraderZones:

Correct, but most were prevented from using their money for a very long time.

It is better not to put all your funds with one broker.

I agree, I use two. One for longer term stuff, one for active trading. The problem the original poster of this thread has is that his account is only 20 grand. Really pushing it to trade a 10k account and make it work with today's volatility and margins. You will have vitrtually no risk with a known FCM if you do a little homework via the NFA. I would recommend this route, and then split up the account after it gets to 50 grand or so (assuming success of course).

These are the US brokers offering both a front end platform like J-trader, X_trader or TWS, and also web based trading (no particular order):

1) Rosenthal Collins Group

Offers J-trader, X_Trader, Onyx, and web-based Ran Order
It has many Introducing brokers: Global Futures, Cytrade, etc

2) MF Global

Offers J-trader, X_Trader, and web-based Ran Order
again, it has many introducing brokers

3) Interactive Brokers

has both IB TWS and Web trading

4) ThinkorSwim

5) Many of the smallest and the biggest (even Prime Brokers) DO NOT offer emini futures web based trading.

6) I don't know anyone else in the US fulfilling your requirements but there are other offshore, like Berkeley Limited (not US, only UK and offshore).

7) I would not rely on a broker offering ONLY a daytrading platform (j-trader, x_trader) for long term trend trading.

I plan to open a Futures account soon with $20K to trade the eMini S&P 500 futures and am interested in your recommended broker for me. I will not be actively trading as my strategy is long term trend following
######################

?
1. Better with 2000 -2500$ ,but if you hold overnight 5000$

2. SEC broker ,which offer future and possibility to switch
money to SIPC protected account OXPS ,SWIM

3. Cheap broker's ,they all not public noted ,but offer
traditional DOME

www.ampfutures.com Platform OEC,CTS T4 ,TA aT
all without extra charge ,account minimum 2000$
www.openecry.com OEC ,account minimum 5000$

and anothers infinitybrokerage -AT
mirus future ,transact ,Proactive future

But not open one account with 20k$ ,better three

Avoid each broekr ,which demanded payement from start for
any things .Ninja -50 $ per month .

TT Datafeed possibly ,better ,but use this effect possible in most of the case's only ,if you are placed near server/exchange

radianz.com offer speedy connection ,but that not without charge .

Platform is means ,not objective .Platform's,which are offered without charge OEC and TA belong to good .

If you can not perform result with good platform without charge ,better not to start with payed service ...

Nika Lauda started he's F1 carrier with mini -Cooper ,not with Ferrari

I only use the zenfire feed with Ninja Trader - best choice imo and never had any issues.

Why not consult AMP Futures. I am considering adding this firm to my list for another back up broker. I have pasted what they emailed me regarding commissions below.

Thanks to everyone who posted. I appreciate it. For MF Global, which of their introducing brokers do you recommend for my situation?
