Recession in 2017 after Briexit?

1997 Asian financial crisis, 2007 Global financial crisis ...
I don't know whether this is just a coincidence but until Briexit, I thought there would not be another crisis in another 7th year .... but is this an initial indicator that there might be another crisis in 2017?

I feel for the companies who are exposed to currency risk e.g. oversea interest payment, or banks who need to deliver forward contracts after this mass ...

If there's a recession it was probably already baked in the cake before Brexit. It will be a convenient explanation and excuse though.

Is this a currency shock/event?

Can it lead to tighter worldwide credit/liquidity conditions , especially in USD, requiring CB intervention?

Can it lead to China having to devalue like last summer?

Can it stress all global USD denominated debt and surge capital outflows from emerging markets?

Can it drive already paltry or negative yields lower and gold higher?

Crush commodities and lower world growth expectations to recession definitive levels?

Seems regardless of Brexit,Grexit,Scotexit, shutdowns, Lehman, or whatever the the crisis
DeJour , you can pick up the same playbook and see if it fits.

Maybe all of the above a little bit....

I just wonder about a catalyst/trigger such as Brexit in a world wound tight.
There have been some very smart guys with a macro view on China that does not tolerate USD
strength very well and that is someting to watch here IMO.
Dont know anything of the specifics of the regal Brits. Good luck to them.
Far as I know they havent put up a national "Go Fund Me" page yet.

Amen...but what about in America ?
Everytime I go out seeking a new contract in IT, I am met by HORDES of foreigners.....
Indians, Chinese, and Russians to name a few.
And they are definitely fluent in their respective languages.
I think we are in worse shape than the Brits.

That's very unfortunate. For decades, there's been this myth about a lack of American IT workers, hence the justification for the H1 visa program. What many Americans don't know is that there is a sure path from H1 to US citizenship. It's all about saving $$$. The British have also imported tons of cheap tech labor from India so it's not just us.
