Recent Visitors - Do people like that?

If you visit someone's profile your name is added to their profile as a Recent Visitor. I find that to be sort of a violation of privacy.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I don't consider it a violation of privacy. Also, other forums do the same thing along with other stuff like showing a list of whom is online, a list of your recently visited threads and a few even show your IP address with each/every message post you make.

By the way, maybe Baron has bigger plans (financial) because there's a few forums out there that "charge a small membership fee" if you don't want others to know what you're reading. Privacy has a price.

Can you imagine what would happen to Facebook if they did the same thing? The shit would hit the fan. :)

Yeah, but facebook is a different type of social media or different type of business model in comparison to the typical trader forum.

I wish we had some of the functions that are normal at Facebook or Twitter. For example, having the ability to prevent someone from reading our posts that has been causing problems instead of wishing that person would put us on their ignore list.

Regardless, the way folks share their private lives on Facebook...ET is far more private than those types of social media.

Now that we're talking about Facebook, I need to go and get my girlfriend to post more videos on facebook of her "twerking" and remind her to make sure the GPS location is still active so that others will know where she was at when she did the twerking. :p

I think it is weird. And ET needs more than 8 smilies. I can't find one that looks "weird" enough to put in this post.

I believe Big Mikes used to be $50 and now it is $100? If it kept the nut jobs out of ET it would be worth it.
