Reasons for Why you need multiple accounts, multiple IPs, and multiple brokers

Quote from MTE:
By the way, CME, as in Chicago Mercantile Exchange, is a futures exchange and has nothing to do with stock trading.

I rather meant CBOE (Chicago Board Options Exchange).
I mentioned it because when I use the default routing in the IB TWS system (called "SMART routing") then it routes options mostly to "Destination: CBOE".

Quote from traderum:

Yes, it is real trading. The order goes to the exchange.
No, it's not.

The order goes to IB's demo servers, where the order is only seen by other demo users.

So I suppose it does go to the exchange, but the exchange in this case is the IB Demo exchange, which isn't similar to the real exchanges at all.

If you think you're moving markets (50k to 150k positions? ha) on a demo exchange/account, you're very wrong.

Quote from traderum:

Today I made 81k with a 500k account :-) That's 16%!

That's great, post the daily statement, guys that make money are humble and don't brag about it on a message board.

See what you can photoshop for us.

***NEVERMIND.....I just read the thread, WOW can I paper trade with you?

Quote from traderum:

Come on, that's really an idiotic assumption.

Not nearly as idiotic as someone (yourself) who claims he trades large positions in the market, but is found out to really be a sim trader...

"I trade mainly stocks and their options. My positions are about 50k to 150k big"

And further is trying to falsify averaging 5+% average daily returns to attract funding, when he is really an unproven demo trader, as yourself:

Quote from TraderZones:

note: traderum and timewarner seem to occur in pairs.

logical to assume they are the same individual, whether or not they are changing their IP addresses...

Statistical significance exists between timewarner and traderzone posts. Perhaps they are the same person?

.

Quote from traderum:

Yes, it is real trading. The order goes to the exchange. You know this when your order creates an impact in the market, ie. the MM moves the price accordingly. The only difference is that on my side the prices are with offsets,
at IB they add/remove that offset.
It seems I'm trading a real IB account. Although every day it starts anew with 500k initial capital. And they let me do this. There was no agreement or so, or any talk, but I think they have seen that I'm not trying to harm them. I've made more than 700k profit in these accounts in the past weeks since I started testing my API program.

(Ok it is maybe not easy to believe, but it is the truth. I'm a strong logically thinking person and IMO there cannot be any other plausible explanation for this)

Traderum, good luck to you!

MTE over and out.
