BTW, do I need to subscribe for the month to download the software? I am a little leary since Townsend does not provide a trial period.

You do not have to subscribe to download the software, nor to use a demo. The demo is provided with no obligations for people who are interested in the platform and trading with Terra Nova. We usually provide demo's for 3 business days depending on availability.

Will the demo work realtime (is it live) for the 3 days? I know there will be no orders placed (except maybe in simulation).

The demo is real-time data with a paper trading route (called TALX) so you can place test traders just to get a feel for how to enter orders.

This is terrific. The only thing that could top this is to have an extended test period (like 5-10 days).
