Realistic Look at Pakistan

During Kargil conflict, Chinese were quiet for a long while but towards the end they got little vocal and showed some signs of troop movements. India has plans to keep China pinned down by its air force while making Pakistan beg for mercy in a swift assault. Soon India will have 3 strike corps with the 3rd one as the rapid reaction type meaning it can move quickly between the theaters. Furthermore, India has 1 million army plus 1 million reserves and 3 million paramilitary. So manpower is not the issue. Chinese won't be able to do much in two weeks before Pakistan capitulates with Air Force and Navy destroyed and industrial infrastructure in ruins.

Regarding Chinese Paki relations, it is terms between Commie and a Psychopath. One cannot trust the other as what trick he will pull out of his hat. The test of real friendships come when 'Push comes to Shove' and I doubt that behind the 'glorious and grand' talks by Chinese, they have enough mettle in themselves to do anything substantial. Commies will be Commies end of the day.

Pakistan knows the answer it will get to using the nukes. 180 million people will die a slow radioactive death. India is soon going to be getting Israeli Anti-Missile defense system which can kill missiles while in the space orbits. If even one of these missiles, after getting blown up, show that it was nuke laden, then Pakistan will face a genocide of the levels that human race has not even heard of. That is what Indian high command has clearly communicated to Pakis, US and Chinese. Furthermore, Chinese would not be sitting peacefully either because Paki nukes are of Chinese material so they will be punished for an indirect attack.

The main question is would Chinese risk a Hydrogen Bombs exploding at 100 meters height in the polluted air of Beijing and Shanghai just for the sake of a pshycopathic wrecked country that they have to call a friend.

Now US is rethinking their approach but not for the better but for worse, now US engages in purposeful destabilization of Pakistan in the hopes that it will somehow give US military reason to go in and secure their Nuclear Weapons thus ending Pakistan as a nuclear power.

And in all this mess no one is asking Why is it that China and Russia do not need to go around the world and bomb other countries into submissions.

How come they can form business relationship and US has to wage war.

This policy of US pentagon think tanks is a policy of long term failure. This policy creates nothing but enemies and debt.

The basic problem is that Americans believe that the rest of the world is too stupid to resist or react.

This is a fatal mistake.

Martin Armstrong has a new article out about how US debt levels are reaching crisis proportions to continue funding it's military. By this summer it will be apparent that the Federal Reserve has lost it's bet.

This comment is hog wash. US is paying Pak in order to go after Talibian and AQ who are hiding inside Pak Tribal areas which the host government says are not under its control. In turn Talibian has attacked Pak government and people for supporting the US attacks.

The story will end when Pak stops all AQ and Talibian activity inside its borders and in neighborhood i.e. Afghanistan. The story will end when Pak stops playing the double game and starts to act like a non terrorist nation.

The Af-Pak border is extremely hard to secure due to mountainous terrain. It is 1800 km long border.

US is in Afganistan to remove AQ and Talibian. Now these two have protection inside Pakistan so very soon US will be 'up the skirts' of Pakistan.

Only yesterday Hillary Clinton has said "US will get terrorists anywhere in the world and that too without asking for the permission of the local government".

The problem here is US cannot conquer and martial law Af and Pak forever. If the mentality and hostility of people towards US does not change then US will be have to be there for next few hundred years.

Same as I said, if Pakistan does not want to stop terrorism, then US cannot do anything. In Iraq peace decended only when top leaders sat down and decided that 'enough is enough' and civil war should end and insurgents should be chased out and killed. It was not the US military that was able to bring this. It was the local people and their leaders who changed the course of their country and future.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan said on Saturday it wanted China to build it a naval base, in the latest sign of moves to strengthen ties with Beijing as relations with Washington falter.

The announcement from Pakistan's defence minister came a day after Pakistan's Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani returned from a four-day visit to China, Islamabad's biggest arms supplier.

"We would be ... grateful to the Chinese government if a naval base is ... constructed at the site of Gwadar for Pakistan," defence minister Ahmad Mukhtar said is a statement, referring to a deep-water port in Pakistan's southwest.

The statement did not say whether Pakistan had asked China to build the base at the port in Baluchistan province.

Islamabad is trying to deepen ties with Beijing as relations with the United States have come under strain following the killing of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan this month.

Many in Washington have called for a review of billions of dollars of US aid to Pakistan after discovering bin Laden had been hiding for years in a Pakistani garrison town.

China invested $200 million in the first phase of the construction of the port, which was inaugurated in 2007.

The development, 70 km (45 miles) east of the Iranian border and on the doorstep of Gulf shipping lanes, was designed to handle transhipment traffic for the Gulf.

Mukhtar said the Chinese government had agreed to take operational control of Gwadar port once a contract with Singapore's PSA International Ltd [PSAIN.UL] expired in around 35 years' time.

During Gilani's visit, Mukhtar said China had agreed to speed up the delivery of 50 multi-role combat JF-17 "Thunder" aircraft, each worth up to $25 million.

The close ties between China and Pakistan reflect long-standing shared wariness of their common neighbour India and a desire to hedge against US influence across the region.
