real time data - 100 MAx?

Hi, what does it mean when a real time data vendor says that you can have data for 100 stocks maximum?

Do you have to choose 100 stocks and only get data for these?

In my EOD database I have 3000 stocks. Wouldn't it be possible it get intraday data for all of these?

Any but not all.

It means just what it says - you can request intraday data for 100 symbols max. You can choose any of the 3000 symbols in your database to get intraday data on. Let's say you open four charts in the morning - AAPL, GOOG and RIMM and the NQ. That's 4 out of your 100. If you close one of those charts and then later in the day you want to re-open it, that will count as another separate chart (at least I believe that's the way most symbol limit vendors work).

Are there vendors that do not have max number of symbols? Cost a lot I guess...
