How low can interest rate go? Will Fed cut all the way to 0 percent to save people ?

The lowest they can go is ~75 basis points. Beyond that, checking and money market accounts will be charged negative interest rates in order for banks to pay their own overhead.

No one knows when this will come back. All we know we have been in this down cycle for 2.5 years and it usually last 3-4 years and comes back with such vengeance you won't believe.
