Interesting vid. Had not seen this interview with Denzel Washington.
The speaker and Denzel Washington make some very good points. One area of concern was when the speaker talked about statistics corncerning relative chances of a Black man dying at the hands of the police versus the hands of another Black man because of the difference of exposures to those “Risks”.
The vast majority of crime are directly or indirectly related to legal and illegal mind altering substances. Until this issue is seriously addressed, our long term Democraticall controlled inner cities will continue to be war zones with ever mounting collateral damage.
As far as the psychological techniques of the Democrats, it is only part of reason why they are able to manipulate voters. The other part is Conservatives, yes Conservatives, who violate their holier-than-thou rulesets for personal gain. Excuse my characterization, but basically when greed for power or money causes a Conservative to break the rules, it allows the Democrats to have a field day. When Republicans make a promise and don’t follow through, when tangible considerations completely override the intangible considerations of how people feel, it can create resentment and a disconnect between voters and Conservative political philosophy. People of ideas and high energy tend to be put off by Conservative values for those reasons.
Unfortunately, voters are usually presented with extremes in political choices. The media has a major role in this, in my opinion. A Communist or Fascist for your pleasure, sir! In some ways, Trump seems like he is both, with his huge Government spending bills for millitary, infrastructure, and social programs. Trump’s pardoning of Blagojevich and having former Bush appointees in his cabinet or appointed to the Supreme Court. How about more “Diddle in the middle”?
What we really need is someone is fully committed to protecting our Constitution and free market system. Some regulations for adressing short term market inbalances should be balanced. We need a leader who is effective at pushing through reform in a manner that provides dissenters a choice between prosecution or partial participation to what was previously enjoyed by them.
Too bad such a person or group does not seem to exist. Certainly, such a person is not on the ballot in 2020.
So yet again, we are left with a least-of-the-worst choice for President. I vote Trump because he seems less extreme than a Obama medal winning Biden Administration would likely be. Obama did a lot of damage with his appointments of those with a Communist background to key law enforcement leadership positions such as the FBI and CIA, increased bureaucracy, and increased regulation on businesses that amounted to what some might characterize as a shakedown.
Things are a mess with Coronaviruses, protests, widely fluctuating stock and job markets, but once the Communists become fully entrenched, they will never leave. Any hope for a truly respresentative Government will be gone. Black lives matter... until Democrats get elected. Nevermind current conditions in our long term Democratic controlled inner cities. As a bonus, the Communists are directly or indirectly responsible for this instability through CNN and other organized activities. Hell, the Leftists have written books on how to subvert the system. Then again, will Conservatives clean up their house to be worthy enough to win back Independent voters?
We will see, but as I see it, for any chance, it will require those with Conservative values to go beyond their normal confort zone.
