If you learn to be happy with 60-80% of the move then you'll be fine. There is always a bull market somewhere.

I'm more interested now in finding one thing, or maybe a handful of things, that I can trade regularly. Most likely index fund options.

He just said another strategy using options and hedging. That's not very different from what I originally posted.

Except I'm 99% sure I'm committed to bull put spreads on index fund options.
