Michael Cohen had better be careful. Any lies he spews in front of Congress can bring multiple charges against him! It is not like they don't have enough to nail him to the wall which is what is happening here. Lies can be easily proven with the volume of documents including, his own statements. That is why lawyers choose not to put their clients on the stand. The chances for self-incrimination is huge! And if a liar has lied so many times, how credible can he be?

exactly. Again maybe they are really smart and saving some bombs for the hearing and cohen is well rehearsed... otherwise this was ridiculous hype.

I have it on the QT that the Mueller report will be released unceremoniously Friday night and there will be nothing in it other than process stuff. Democrats will try to spin everything into anti Trump tirades.

Looking forward to Andy being disbarred too.
That might cut down on his chances of making the big bucks as a lawyer in the private sector. Not looking good for him in that department so far. Not to worry though, if a dem president is elected in 2020 he/she/they may appoint Andy to the Supreme Court. No law license needed for that.
The questioners from the Republican party seem to be only intent on continually portraying Cohen as a liar. They are not even really asking him questions -- just making long rambling statements calling Cohen a liar.
I have to question the wisdom of the Republicans doing this - it comes off merely as an attempt to endlessly slander Cohen but does not discredit his testimony when backed up with the submitted evidence.
The Republicans should be focused on picking apart the evidence and Cohen's opening statement based on facts. Their failure to do this simply demonstrates to reasonably intelligent watchers that the Republicans have no way of refuting or disputing the actual facts outlined by Cohen.

Cohen's statements will survive or die on its merits. He has lied multiple times including his taxes. It seems he and Democrats use this hearing to slander President Trump. When he was still a lawyer and President Trump was his client, there is such a thing as attorney-client privilege. He probably, has violated that multiple times. And in his area of expertise as a lawyer, if he did illegal things against the law and advised Donald Trump to do so, he should be the one being charged because he should have known better. Yet, he had crossed the lines multiple times to suit his need? He has already been convicted in a court of law of multiple crimes and probably, trying to curry favor with liberal judges and Mueller to get a reduced sentence? Motive counts when there is criminal intent!
Do you discount the evidence that Cohen submitted in the record? Can you explain why no Republican is actually disputing the evidence --- but using their time to simply make endless statements calling Cohen a liar.

What exactly, has he submitted? Maybe, the reason they are not bothering to refute it is there is a lot of evidence to prove the contrary. There is a mountain of evidence out there. A jury who actually, reviewed the numerous evidence submitted found Michael Cohen guilty of multiple felonies. He is also, been disbarred to boot! Now, let us not forget he is looking at a long jail sentence for his various crimes! I can also, say this is a dirty Democrat attempt to tar and feather President Donald Trump and they have not hidden their agenda to try to impeach him since, he won the US Presidency? You don't think the Democrats and Michael Cohen are biased and have agendas? If there is wrongdoing as alleged, they are free to file their lawsuits in a court of law where there is due process, not a trial by publicity which this is!
