This is the problem I have with the teacher's position, which really is not the average teacher position but the union. If teachers are vaccinated and they still do hybrid with spread out class sizes and social distancing and mask rules, the risk is reduced down to condom levels....
I think teachers are upset about all the extra work they had to undertake for the virtual shift (quite understandable) without any increase in benefits, pay or gratitude (really understandable) but this stand they are taking now is certainly losing my support. EDIT: But then I look into it and realize it is mostly the union and not the teachers I speak with. I love all the teachers I speak with and eavesdropping on my son I heard his math teacher with her small children in the background. Imagine having to teach at home and your own kids also at home and juggling both. IMpossible.
