Re-opening Schools in the era of COVID

This isn't based on data. It's just their recommendations. There's no data at that site showing any proof that going to school outside of their defined parameters is unsafe. There is no study that shows where mortality increased when we didn't follow their recommendations.

Help me redefine the safety. Show me the risk - with data. If you can't, then all you have is anecdotes.

And I'm not about to lock down my child and impact them psychologically or educationally because of your anecdotes (or anyone else's).

The CDC has the guidleines for schools to open safely, it is up to each BoE to move forward with it if they can. However packing the kids in 5 days a week with no masks and no social distancing or a system of cleaning is not really being safe.

so where's the data they have to back up their standards? I'm happy to admit I'm wrong. Where is the data showing that schools that don't follow their "standards" result in higher mortality among children and staff? Where are the studies?

There's plenty of data that shows safety statistics on cars. Also plenty of horsepower and torque studies based on specific types of gas with various octane levels. Would you like to discuss some?

As outlined by CDC officials schools should only open for in-person learning if the risk level is Low or below.

Of course, in the U.S. it is up to local school boards to make the decision to open/close schools. Parents should closely question any school board which attempts open schools when the risk level is above Low.

I was told the CDC has an agenda to make the former president look bad. So any data is likely to be made up anyway.
