RBG passed

The republicans have a distinct electoral advantage in the senate and an ideological bent that inclines them to focus on judges. Democrats have a disadvantage in the senate and pay much less attention to the judiciary because they (we) like to pass laws - ACA, civil rights, etc. Republicans use the judiciary to take laws down.

Republicans like an activist judiciary, ie businesses are people, 2A isn’t contingent on a militia. These are rulings they made up out of thin air with zero precedent or constitutional basis.

Don’t underestimate the republicans, they maximized their advantages to get here. It was well played scam.

This is a hard lesson for democrats because basic rights and protections from clean water to healthcare to safety in the workplace to organized labor and beyond is in jeopardy under a super majority scotus. This country is set to get cannibalized by the wealthy and the religious zealots and the only buttress is the executive and legislative branches.

This is just ridiculous. About the only thing I'd agree with is the cannibalization process you mention regarding the wealthy. But this is a Federal Reserve issue, not a SCOTUS one. And no one in any organized religion is set to usurp the country in any shape or fashion. What a joke.

It doesn't invalidate the flawed and despised argument at all. The right candidate - one that wasn't a Clinton or Bush, certainly not that Clinton would have won so many votes more, he/she would have taken the electoral handily by the sheer beatdown he/she delivered to Trump. It would have....should have been a beatdown. It was that close because of such an inferior choice in candidate.

Trump didn't believe he would win, I know. He was stunned so many came out to vote against Clinton (not for him). I was one of them.
How is Clinton flawed in a way that Trump isn’t?

Now you’re being intentionally obtuse.

That's an excellent question. I don't believe the candidates have the same flaws, or that they are equal in any of the flaws that they share. Even those flaws I believe either candidate to have or not have, my opinions are going to be subjective in nature. You are unlikely to agree with my thoughts and I am unlikely to agree with yours.

Still, enough people saw the problem with Clinton as a poor choice so they voted against Hillary rather than with Trump. That's the risk this time around as well. I absolutely hate that I am considering voting for Trump again. I cannot believe I have to do this. But between the two yahoos, Trump is the least threatening to my way of life and the security of my family. At least openly. He hasn't outright declared or aligned himself with those who do - his intent to attack principles I believe in.

See, that's the thing. I don't see that Clinton was flawed. Despised, perhaps, by the Right. And she has her quirks. But her credentials were unparalleled. She'd have made one kick-ass president in my view. Putin was afraid of her. Putin laughs behind Trump's back.

She'll be a great SCOTUS pick when they pack the court next year
