I'm not sure I follow. Even if I were to agree with your argument that Trump's downplaying of the virus because he didn't want people to overreact was somehow related to fear and intimidation, how does this mean Democrats should be coming for real americans in the suburb...? I'm not understanding what argument or connection you are making.
I'm trying to convey that he is full of shit. He dropped the ball on the virus in the early days, claiming he didn't want to scare people. Yet that is EXACTLY what he is doing when he tells people that riots are coming to their suburbs unless they vote for him. That man is worthless.

Trump is always full of shit. No one should be paying attention to anything the man claims will happen. I certainly don't.

But I do see - with my own lying eyes, I guess you can say - riots and mobs doing more and more brazen things and getting away with it. My way of life is threatened by that behavior, forcing me to take defensive action accordingly. So yeah, its easy to see how claims of this nature could be taken seriously.

Sure, assholes attaching themselves to legitimate movements thereby delegitimizing these movements in your eyes. And police often randomly attacking innocent protesters. (You'd think they had enough of the bad actors to choose from, eh?) And Trump filled with glee when Ali Velshi, a legitimate reporter with a microphone and cameraman, gets hit by a rubber bullet.

Your president is an embarrassment. It doesn't have to be that way.

No, it doesn't have to be this way. The fact that we have such brilliant minds in this country and the two best choices we have are Donald Trump and Joe Biden? This is a tragedy and nothing short of that.

But the left shares half the blame. They gave us Trump by putting forth Hillary. Any normal moderate should have been able to beat Trump. I think this is the biggest issue the Left has. They still haven't come to terms with the concept that Trump won. This is because they don't understand how flawed the candidate they put forth to compete with him was. And they're doing the whole thing over again. What is it they say about doing the same thing over again and expecting different results?

That is an embarrassment, alright.

See, that's the thing. I don't see that Clinton was flawed. Despised, perhaps, by the Right. And she has her quirks. But her credentials were unparalleled. She'd have made one kick-ass president in my view. Putin was afraid of her. Putin laughs behind Trump's back.

I am very much aware you don't see Clinton as flawed. That is why you lost the election to someone as weak and easily beatable as Trump.

It was in large part because many Democrats assumed she would win. even Trump didn't really believe he would win! There were a few other reasons, of course, but I think this one was the clincher. I don't think it will be again. And don't forget, she won the popular vote. So while that may mean little to you, it invalidates the "flawed and despised" argument.

It doesn't invalidate the flawed and despised argument at all. The right candidate - one that wasn't a Clinton or Bush, certainly not that Clinton would have won so many votes more, he/she would have taken the electoral handily by the sheer beatdown he/she delivered to Trump. It would have....should have been a beatdown. It was that close because of such an inferior choice in candidate.

Trump didn't believe he would win, I know. He was stunned so many came out to vote against Clinton (not for him). I was one of them.

Ah yes, the Dems while playing chess with the GOP, observe the norms, all the while their opponent's already moved on and set the building on fire.

The republicans have a distinct electoral advantage in the senate and an ideological bent that inclines them to focus on judges. Democrats have a disadvantage in the senate and pay much less attention to the judiciary because they (we) like to pass laws - ACA, civil rights, etc. Republicans use the judiciary to take laws down.

Republicans like an activist judiciary, ie businesses are people, 2A isn’t contingent on a militia. These are rulings they made up out of thin air with zero precedent or constitutional basis.

Don’t underestimate the republicans, they maximized their advantages to get here. It was well played scam.

This is a hard lesson for democrats because basic rights and protections from clean water to healthcare to safety in the workplace to organized labor and beyond is in jeopardy under a super majority scotus. This country is set to get cannibalized by the wealthy and the religious zealots and the only buttress is the executive and legislative branches.
