raw stock feed

I need a fast, reliable stocks datafeed. I'll be using it in Excel at first, but will move to VB/C# soon. Word of mouth tells me Comstock is the way to go, and I'm MUCH more concerned about quality and speed than cost.

Any comments from anyone?

IQFeed has an API that you can write to:
http://www.iqfeed.net/index.cfm?displayaction=developer&section=main

eSignal has a couple. A number of brokers do as well. If you do not want to tie yourself down, you can write to a common API, like one provided by QuoteTracker:
http://www.quotetracker.com/help/QTStreamingAPI.shtml

Which lets you get data from any vendor that QT supports.

Heh ... yes, nice catch. I need to do some excel testing to start. It's certainly not a final solution. But I want to have the feed itself be as fast as possible so that I can demonstrate speed diffs between excel and vb, etc.
