Ratigan Quits CNBC?

Quote from DataCruncher:

I believe someone on air said they are not allowed to own stock per the network rules. I wonder if this includes GE or not. If they can't own any stock whatsoever, I wonder where they put their IRA/retirement money.

The way they all belly ache about GE's stock I feel certain they have it in some form, probably profit sharing. I believe they are restricted to index funds, as individual stocks are prohibited because of potential insider trading from info they could get in doing their job.

There's a lot of longevity there too. The numbers I said were more for the senior anchors/reporters.

Just think: In NYC market, name reporters on local newscasts barely make 125-150. Most are in the high 5 figures.

Are you kidding? Local anchors in the majors pull down millions. MILLIONS> I can't believe it either............

Who can stomach local news?

Has to be the most inane , insipid pack of house organs on the planet.

They don't make a penny off me.

I will not miss Ratigan, but he is just as good as all the other personalities cnbc has to offer which isn't saying a whole lot. Its just when he starts stuttering, I wanna poke my fricking eyes out.

I guess I'm in the minority here but I have liked Ratigan on Fast Money. I thought he was able to do quick summaries and keep things moving in a very professional manner. The panelists are not broadcasters and need someone riding herd on them or you end up with a mess like Cramer or the Fox Saturday morning shows.

That said, I rarely watch Fast Money anymore. The 5:00 time slot is not very convenient, and a couple of the panelists are very annoying. It might be better if they cut back to maybe three or even two panelists, provided one of them wasn't Najarian.

It's pretty much the only worthwhile show on CNBC. I think Ratigan did a good job, but he can be replaced by either that Asian girl or Melissa Francis. Being CNBC they will probably put a moron like Erin Burnett on instead.
I agree.... I especially admired the fact that Ratigan kept repeating, VERY loudly and on every show, that a lot of the Wall Street Banksters had committed fraud and should be tried for it... he was the only one to do this flat out on CNBC... and he was very persistent about it...

His constant interruptions of his team and guests was very annoying.

But if ANYBODY is to be shown the door first it should be KUDLOW... what an embarrassment to the concept of integrity...
