It didn't state whether the performer was paid to perform or volunteered at the pre-inaugural event. Assuming he was a paid participant going off script is pure conjecture. By agreeing with RCG, I knew there was something amiss with your analysis.

Whether he was paid or not is irrelevant. He was asked to change a song after 30 minutes of playing the same thing over and over, and he refused - the organizers noted the crowd getting annoyed and took action. I understand you don't like Obama. I don't either. I understand you believe in free speech, and I do too. But this guy (and I like what he stands for) took action at a private event and that action went against the organizer's desire. They took action, as is their right.
