The point, fellas, is that the gov't is a force of equal power vs the big corporations, that can force them to do things for the people, since one man one vote forces the politicians to actually have to listen to the po' folk every once in a while. I know that bothers you stooges of the big corporations no end, but you know, their freedom to do whatever they want doesn't translate into freedom for the poor and the middle class at all. This used to be common sense.

Ok, so you're making excuses for him. If Obama truly did what was right, he would have the power of the mob. That's far greater than any power the banks could put to him. He just had to harness it.

I don't blame the GOP...they got overrun somehow by some real nutjobs. People who literally want to take us back to a time when America was sharply divided along race, class, and gender. And while there are some hangers on, I think we are moving in the right direction.
