Range Controlled Geometry

Quote from atticus:

You averaged into a loss on at least 3 trades. You covered the first two at a large loss, leaving the remaining trade open as it showed a small gain. Anyone looking at the price history of CHFJPY can see that there wasn't a retrace that would have allowed you to exit with a profit.

You purposely switched to the "position" format to avoid showing the two losers (>100 pips).

You have zero credibility.

No, actually I switch to the position format as I was giving too much information. I am going to give the first two trades and then switch to the position format.

You are quite right, the first two entries resulted in losses, the total position was shown as a gain.

As far as credibility, I certainly do not need that from the denizens of ET. All that is required is a growing account. :)

One thing Mav has shown me, is that there are in fact new things under the sun, and just because he has not found them, does not mean they are not there.:)

You do not get to define what a journal is and is not. If you are still trying to learn how to trade after the amount of time you have spent on this site perhaps you should reconsider your endeavor. There are indeed many other journals to follow.

Good luck.:)

Not sure how you shift focus to my trading. I've said clearly that I've never had an FX account because I wasn't sure I could cope with the central bank interventions and other non-market forces.

So, you can confirm that you added exponentially to that short position? There seems to be some skepticism about whether that is possible. I'm not in a position to call BS with certainty on it though and will wait to see what happens with the forum mod.

That's BS. There is no size shown and there is no way that you took 5x (or more) size in the final add to result in a gain. Since the first two positions were closed prior, there is no way to show your true average price from the "position" screen.

You're scamming, Bro, and this is headed to chit chat.

Hardly. You might want to read up on Oanda and their position sizing.

Ron, you just got caught in a lie and you are not going to address it? You said explicitly you posted time stamps and I just showed the image you posted that had no time stamp. Come on bro, you are manipulating your account.

On the column that says....Date.

That is the time stamp. Please do some research before charging out of the gate and into a brick wall in the future, thank you.

That was a fair question.

Yes, there is an exponential component to my adding.

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt at first, as a lady friend once said to me, "I'd rather trust people initially and occasionally get burned, then not and turn cold inside". Admittedly there's a trade-off and this "journal" is an example of that. When it becomes obvious that someone is just yanking your chain they lose all credibility, and I have a long memory. Thanks to those who have pointed out the follies within, and this thread deserves all the respect of Chit Chat.
