Back when MTV played music! I sure do miss the 80's. That's the problem with youth; it's wasted on the young.

No doubt. I can do without the angst of youth. But the physical prowess, yes, I'd like to have that back, please.

The early 80's had lots of great music. I stopped listening to the current pop music later during the decade, though. Just not my bag anymore, I guess. Here was one of our favs and still is.

that has a reggae sound to it, but it advertises itself as ska. Not that I ever learned what ska was to begin with...

The girl behind the counter at the liquor store just told me 'have a happy holidays'

Like she's not going to see me another 17 times before that.

A tribute to my old friend Joe who died this afternoon. Cancer finally took him down. Age 70. Veteran, Merchant Marine and a Republican living in the city of Chicago. Southsider all the way. Feisty guy with a wicked sense of humor. Said he's being cremated because he doesn't want people walking up to his coffin saying how good he looks. In his words, how the fuck can I look good? I'm dead! All around good guy. Catch ya' down the road Joe, wherever that may lead. BTW, he was an atheist and never waivered on that right up to the end. RIP!
