Quote from BSAM:

Here's what I don't get.
Why is Nascar considered a sport?
You get in a car and ride around and around in a circle.
This can be done in a Walmart parking lot.
I think this "sport" was invented for old white men.
I expect to see John Boner and Mitch McConnell participating when they finally get kicked out of office.

It is a strange one, to be sure. But millions of Americans love it, so there must be something to it that I'm missing. F1 is big in Europe on the other hand. Many complain about F1 being a "sport" as well for other reasons. To each his own.

......he did play a benefit with Bruce Springsteen to raise money for Barack Obama's presidential campaign in 2008.

Quote from BSAM:

Okay enough of the trading, politics, and funny business.
Let me ask my fellow members a serious question.
Had you rather have a Snickers candy bar or a Snickers ice cream bar?
I think I'm gonna have to go with the ice cream version.

Never had the ice cream version, but I'm intrigued.

I think you are referring to Billy Joel not the Billie Joe in the lyrics

Quote from seneca_roman:

What did Billie Joe and his girlfriend throw off the Tallahatchie Bridge?

Why was this not good for Billie Joe?

I was six years old when this came out.

I was older than that, but I've been to Choctaw
Ridge and threw flowers off the bridge while living in MS. It was not too far from my house and wife and I made it a Sunday drive destination.
