Quote from acronym:
Yeah, but you live in Norway, as such, likely in an apartment, and as such, how the hell do people live in such a cold environment????
I have questions. I can ask my Canuck dad all I want, but, it's stone age shit now. "Well, you re-fire up the furnace, from sawmilled logs, at about 3-4 am, keeps things warm". Fuck that.
Do they even use wood anymore? I dont think so.
What happens if the central heating goes out? Heard about an elderly couple (Ontario) got caught in a blizzard, in their car, froze to death.
It's happened in apartments too. Ice storms.
Hmm, obviously, a lot of people deal with extreme cold-but how?
Maybe a topic for a different thread, but this is quite random.
Yes, I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK! I chop more wood than a woodchuck would chuck, thus keeping me and myself pretty damn warm!
I actually don't have central heating. Therefore I eat as much as I can during the summer - slowly building up my fat reserves - before I go into semi-hibernation during the coldest months.
It should also be noted that I spent some months in a monastery in a previous life. Thus I am capable of inducing heat by meditation.
