Hmmm...I may think about buying a coat. Sounds like Norway is, at least, less messed up than the U.S. But then, what civilized country isn't? I don't know though, we still got some good places here...If it just wasn't for our corrupt government...

Despite my being prone to polemics, I would say that Norway is probably one of the better places to live for the average citizen. It's relatively safe. Virtually no gun crime, e.g. There's been a large increase in "attack rapes", though.

We don't have a lot of the absurdity I have come across in the US. No one is suing McDonald's over their "overly" hot coffee for three trillion dollars, and we don't have all these ridiculous waivers and warning signs and what have you.

My problem with Norway is that we have a fund of over $600 bln, and only a population of 5 mil. This should be "paradise"... But instead it is pretty average compared to other European countries.

All in all, everything is pretty down the middle here. In the US you have both the absolute worst and best of "everything". It is what it is...

Worthless politicians are universal in nature, though.

Best and worst eh? That makes us average out. Not bad.
