Shopping around for a comfort bike. A cruiser. Therapy for bum knee.

I've looked at bike shops, and the usual super stores. Any recs?

Want to spend less than $500, and need gears for hills. Neighborhood riding, only.

You ever make that move, brother Don?

Which seems better to you:

A. Monday

B. Thursday

Easy one for me. Monday. (Well, not last Monday.)

I enjoy the beginning of the trading week. Hopefully, I enjoy the entire week.

Plotting and planning Sunday evening. Entering into the fray of Monday morning trading after the long weekend.

I think back when I was working, I would have said Thursday.

No, not yet. Just yesterday I did some research online and found some good recs. Looking at 400-$500 models nearby.

Honestly, last week the knee wasn't feeling so good, so I had to wonder if it could take the riding.

So I was thinking of getting a cheap out of the box, then upgrading later if it worked out.

Partly, I get that from a friend trying to rehab torn miniscus surgery. He says the riding makes it sorer. Rehab is tricky , gotta push but not overdue. Soft tissue damage is tricky. Knees are tricky.

Knee is feeling better, so now is the time to strengthen the leg.

I'm leaning toward the brand Giant at a local bike shop. The reviews on the box bikes from big stores were dismal. So, yeah, research shows paying 4-600 is worth it.

The box bikes have problems soon, but paying extra showed no problems for years of riding.

The other factor is finding time. I take care of several folks. But 15 min. late morn. or afternoon rides are feasible.

Where the hell is hughb? That guy's OK in my book.

You probably will be pleased with either a Giant or a Trek.

Brother Hugh has probably been too busy drinking and cleaning his apartment to be posting on the internet.
Yo, brother Hugh, whazzup?
Calling brother Hugh.
Come in, brother Hugh.

Ring/ring/ring...

SDPD: SDPD

BSAM: Yeah, this is BSAM. Can you go over and check on brother Hugh? He's been MIA for a while and we are a bit concerned.

SDPD: Will do. We will notify him to check in on ET/Random.

BSAM: Thanks.
