Ehhh..working on a new re-education plan for my daughter.

:D Hey..you're gonna laugh.

She does pretty good on her job. Just had a performance review and got a raise.

And the envelope please.....

After Obama tax increase and her new pay raise she now nets about 10 dollars a week less than last year.

--------------------------------

We did the math before she went to her review. We worked out inflation, new taxes and what % increase would provide a real return for her effort. We had a "target".

I think what we have going on here: Business's that are doing well will not continue to do well because soon their customers will just not have money for their service.

There will be business's that bid out jobs and find no work because the customer has no money. Contractors who kept working to break even will find the break even point - pointless. No future profit on the horizon.

Ha! I got a pay raise this year, but I'm netting $120 ---- LESS per month now! That's the way it goes when you're a wage slave. Mark my words, MARK MY FUCKING WORDS this is the last year that I am a wage slave. I will fight like hell so that I will never be a W2 employee ever again.

Quote from nutmeg:

It's a classic.
Person A changed the beneficiary on a life insurance policy on a little old lady with Alzheimers and took off the 50% of Person B.

(this happened months ago, unexpectedly, hence gnawing in the back of my mind)

Now the little old lady is about to expire and the spouse is worrrying about no money for funeral. I asked "That was the point of the insurance policy." He said "Person A told him there is no money. I find out Person A took all the cash out and not only that he took ownership of the policy.

Dirty dog.

I had a few words with Person A regarding this with no results. person B who got gypped is not well and is in no shape to assist in this situation, hence Person A took advantage of the situation.

I've known all of these people a long time. I am almost at a dead end. A dead end being if the policy ownership change was legit and no one did anything unethical a few people got screwed and not enough money to take to court.

There ain't shit you can do about it anyway. I know first hand. Take it in stride, drink it down, move on. Life ain't fair, it ain't right, it is what it is.

just be tougbh do what you know is right.

I have one loose end.

I'd like to put some blame on the spouse. He probably didn't understand the transaction or put too much trust in the dirty dog, didn't want to deal with the situation or was intimidated (you know how old people get - ripe for abuse).

As I write I recall he said to me once that he wasn't supposed to talk about this issue with anyone. Well the teapot boiled over as funeral time nears, this may be why he mentioned it.

Oh well, I don't hold grudges, I don't seek revenge, I don't teach people a "lesson" but I won't forget.

and with that I say:

This concludes todays episode of "That muthafucker." :D

Not sure I really understand this Amazon Prime deal, but I'm getting a lot of free movies to watch on instant streaming. I was under the impression that nobody could use Amazon instant streaming unless they were a Prime member, but these movies show a price and then right next to it it says "free for Prime."
