“Rain falls from the sky but I never understood wind”

Trump is funny as always, but it's hard to deny the facts he mentioned.
Windmills kill too many birds and they are noisy.

Nuclear energy is much more efficient and cleaner.

We care about birds they said...

NYT: Trump administration policy change limits penalties for bird deaths

Washington (CNN)A 2017 Trump administration policy change has severely limited any penalties groups might face for bird deaths across the United States, according to a new report published Tuesday by The New York Times.

The Trump administration has frequently rolled back regulations aimed at protecting the environment and curbing the effects of climate change. Among the notable actions this year was the decision in June by the Environmental Protection Agency to roll back an Obama-era plan limiting coal-fired power plant emissions and the revocation of California's authority in September to set its own vehicle emission standards.

In his fight against wind energy, Trump has repeatedly cited bird deaths from wind turbines. A CNN fact check has found that although hundreds of thousands of birds are killed from collisions with turbines, other energy sources, such as coal, oil and power lines, contribute to millions of avian deaths each year.

A Trump Policy ‘Clarification’ All but Ends Punishment for Bird Deaths

A new interpretation of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act in 2017 means that as of now, companies are no longer subject to prosecution or fines even after a disaster like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010 that destroyed or injured about one million birds and for which BP paid $100 million in fines.

I don't like fission reactors because of the unresolved waste fuel disposal problem. Its a NIMBY issue and even Yucca Mountain was nixed. It is difficult to identify a more remote site than that.

1 million birds, eh? There are 40 billion birds on this planet.

Give it a fucking rest.

If we always stuck to what we know for sure, humans would not evolve past Stone Age. Wind or solar, who knows where it will take us.

The fact I found 10 pages of peer reviewed articles on JSTOR on the efficiency of windmills. Maybe you should use your "graduate" degree to take a trip to your alma matter library and wake up.

If you had a "graduate" degree, you'd recognize the utility of peer reviewed papers written by experts in a field you don't know about - which assuming your degree is even real you know about as much as I do.

It is certainly strange hearing an "electrophysicist" calling someone proposing clean energy a propagandist. But hey, instead of attacking the paper or presenting papers that show the opposite of the paper I linked, you'd prefer to insult me. Real graduate level work there, chief.

I got a really hearty chuckle out of "designing solar systems" though.
You've no clue about solar, or wind power.

Trump understands rain. He has studied it.
