Charlottesville Car Attack Driver and Rally Organizers Sued By Victims for $3 Mil

8/15/2017 3:12 PM PDT

James Alex Fields Jr.'s victims are striking back with a huge lawsuit ... and they're going after more white nationalists they believe were responsible for the Charlottesville carnage.

Tadrint and Micah Washington have filed suit against Fields, as well as many organizers of the alt-right rally in Charlottesville Saturday -- including David Duke, Richard Spencer and Jason Kessler. According to the docs ... the Washingtons were in the car into which Fields slammed, causing a violent chain reaction that resulted in the death of 32-year-old Heather Heyer, injuring 19 others.

Tadrint and Micah claim they were not counterprotesters or involved in any events related to the rally, but were simply trying to drive home and were waiting for pedestrians when Fields plowed into them. According to the docs ... they were left with serious injuries and a vehicle covered in blood.

The suit also names several other white nationalist organizations that were present Saturday. The 2 are suing for $3 million for assault and battery, civil conspiracy and negligence.

Fields has been charged with second-degree murder and malicious wounding for the attack.

We reached out to rally organizers named in the suit ... no word back so far.

Can't wait. Let's hope these lawsuits win and create precedent, so the next time BLM or some other Antifa group funded by George Soros burns a building, Soros can then be sued accordingly.

I think it's a great idea!

You underestimate the intelligence of Soros if you think someone will be able to prove Soros funded a riot.

It's another situation where a Democrat mayor is responsible for his police department. The properly permitted White Nationalists were moved through a gauntlet of armed mercenaries hired by Geo Soros. The Democrat mayors have allowed those thugs to attack people at Trump rallies and any kind of Republican assembly for the past year or more. The police could have easily kept both sides apart in every one of these cases. The White Nationalist guys should sue that lousy mayor for everything he has and run him out of office.

But you somehow think filing suits against the people who obtained a legal permit to organize a rally, simply because someone at that rally went crazy is going to happen?

Lawyers are already saying they have a very weak case against the organizers and a strong one against the driver. Basically since the couple was not involved in any of the protests/counter-protests in any manner, and the crash occurred a good distance away from the designated protest area -- it is treated as a standard car accident.

Well not quite standard because they can show he intended to hurt them vs it being an accident.

According to the talking heads the defense likely would pursue a "mental illness" angle which places it back in the standard accident bucket for a civil suit. I'm not a lawyer so I don't really have a clue about how this type of thing works.

I wonder how what the stance of the defendant's car insurance company is in this type of situation.
