R.I.P. Segway

This is the kind of tricycle that I am talking about:

The kind that you can sit and drive and carry passengers and/or cargos. People have been using this since the 1920's. Anything that you have to stand and move and move fast is not going to be stable and secure, no matter how many wheels that you put on there. Can't believe the police even ordered those standing tricycles. How are they going to navigate the stairs when the criminal escapes down the stairs to take public transit?

The irony is that e-bikes really do have the potential to be revolutionary, since it makes biking feasible over long distances or up hills for those who aren't athletes and don't want to put in a massive workout on the way to the office - but they get very little attention, at least here in the USA.
It's true, e-bikes are not as popular in the US as they are in Europe. But there is a demand for this type of transport. I know this because I have been riding an e-bike myself for three years. I want to take a new e-bike soon. I'm a tough guy, so I look at reliable models like on this page. Our city has a fairly large community of people who travel by electric bicycles.
