Can't the mods here see someone's ip to prevent them from signing up under a new handle?

I'm a member of a bodybuilding board, and the mods there have caught guys they banned trying to come back, and prevented it. Can't they do that here?

And yes, guys like brasshole are why Parents like me worry about their kids walking to the school bus stop, let alone playing in the neighborhood.

You can't really stop people from coming back. All you can do is put up a speed bump to slow them down. I think Baron has found ways to lay down several speed bumps but if someone wants to come back bad enough, they will. Brass's bullshit is so easy to spot though, he'll be outed pretty quickly.

I think it only took me about 50 posts or so last time. And even then most of them were not in P&R. Counting the P&R only posts it was probably more like 5 - 10.

No question, he will be easy to spot. I put him on ignore quickly, but when someone quoted him, I could read it, and it literally made my stomach ill at times. We'll probably see him again. Most likely on the Chris Hansen pedophile sting show...

I'm sure they can ban certain IP's but for what ever reason they have chosen not to.

Even if they block an IP one could go through a proxie server or anon website and create a new user name. But it would make it more work to just casually login and post.
