Basically if the configuration file got corrupted. If you have backups, you can try restoring CHARTS.INI from a time when the templates were there

qt has automated backups, if you activated that feature.

Thanks a lot, guys. I restored a backups.zip file from Thursday and that restored the chart templates. I will also do a separate backup of the entire quotetracker folder on a thumb drive just in case.

I had this problem a while ago and posted here about it. I reinstalled QT and patched to 3.9.8a and things were fine once again.

The quotes / charts are not updating in real time. Level II window doesn't populate and the indices on the main window all display "--".
I tried reinstalling and patching like I did previously but it didn't work this time.
The data source is Ameritrade. Anybody else?

The only issue I know of with TDA is if your account got "Upgraded" in which case you would lose access t API, so QT and MT would no longer work. Refer to this:

Intra-day backfilling for QT (Version 3.9.8a) has stopped all of a sudden.
Using IB as the source.

Any idea, how to correct this problem.

Dale, if the issue did not go away on its own after 10 min or so, is it specific to a particular symbol? I doubt IB would have changed anything that would cause QT to not work all of a sudden. Did not get any reports of problems with IB from Medved Trader clients.

I'm having a data backfill problem with futures data using IB as the data source.

For the last week or two, triggering backfill fills in the data only up to 2 hours from the present time- leaving a gap between realtime data and past data that takes 2 hours to fill.

Stock data backfills seem to work fine, it's the futures data that's affected.
