the problem is the WEEKLY. Long story, but there is some code that auto converts symbols based on descriptions from back when the option symbol format changeover was occurring. and it is screwing things up.

Not sure but I think 3.9.8a may fix the issue (patch found somewhere earlier in this looooong thread)

As for API in MT, no, not yet.

a follow up:

The problem was that I upgraded to "advance features" which disabled access to the API.

The solution was to email TD to reverse or disable "advance features," problem fix the next day.

MT does 10 days backfill with IB. Whatever the datafeed supports basically. It can go to I think 120 for IQFeed

I write notes on stock market charts and once in a while the notes will all disappear. This just happened yesterday after the electricity went off which QT was running. I wonder if there is a file that holds these notes and if it might be found and rejuvenated...and also saved separately in the future to protect against these disappearances.
