QuoteTracker To Be Finished End of 2011

Anybody have information on the CME Globex Exchange Fee Waiver? I have IB and use QT. It says its compatible with IQFeed. This is the quote from IQFeed website:

"just contact your broker with your DTN IQFeed loginID and they will handle everything to make sure you receive the exchange fee waivers on your DTN IQFeed account. For exchange compliance, your software application must be able to trade directly through your broker"

Thanks for any info.

Quote from j_medved:

copy the CME Globex timeframe and on the new one, do not define Christmas day for the Holidays (or change it to be 24th).

Will that force Quotracker to use the copy instead of the original/protected CME Globex?

I'm also having an issue trying to get the charts to correctly display the new ES CME Globex time changes:

From CME's site:

"As of first trade date November 19, 2012, the trading day on CME Globex for these products will end
at 4:15 p.m. CT, and the new trading day will begin at 5:00 p.m. CT."

I tried changing the "copy of CME Globex" to have the following:

Active Market Time: 5pm - 4:15pm
Mid-Day break: 4:15 - 5pm
Rollover point: 5pm

But that doesn't seem to have any effect. Data is still following the old schedule

the built in CME Globex has correct time stuff, so just use that (QT uses Eastern). Once you configure a new copy of the timeframe, you would have to explicitly change which one a given chart uses right on the chart (yellow clock button on the toolbar)

moved over to a new machine recently, got QT re installed and old layouts copied over

problem is intraday charts won't backfill beyond the current day's data

any tips?

Allan Patterson,

Make sure you have 3.9.8A (not just 3.9.8) version.

Also, if you want to copy over the data from the other machine, copy the CACHE folder inside the QuoteTracker folder

My TDA feed just died in the last day.

The only thing I can think of that has changed is that I was instructed by TDA support to enable the "Advanced Features" within my profile to get better order reporting.

Could this have somehow messed up the QT feed? Any help would be greatly appreciated (using version 3.9.8a).

Thanks

that would do it. They disable API for those accounts. Don't ask :)

I been using QT for years, and am using ver 3.9.8a on a win7 system with 4G memory.

Have anyone experience a problem on completing the drawing of a trendline. Sometime half way through drawing a trendline, the partially drawn trendline disappear and it won't let me draw trendline. I notice my CHLINES.DAT file size is over 500M, is there some max limit that store all previously drawn trendlines? Thanks in advance to anyone that can share some insights on how to solve this problem.

@activetrader,

There are lists and I think you hit them. I may be a good idea to just clear out the saved lines by closing QT and deleting the CHLINES.DAT file.

Hi Jerry:

Thanks for the reply. I will do as you have suggested. Love the QT software you have created. Thanks again.
