QuoteTracker To Be Finished End of 2011

Hi, i can't seem to get QT to work with Optionsxpress. I've applied the patch above - I copied all the 23 files to the Quote Tracker folder in Program Files.

When i open QT, it shows version 3.9.8a, so it seems to be patched. But when I try to use my login details for Optionsxpress, it says 'QuoteTracker must be registered to use Optionsxpress for market data and trading.' It then opens the following page http://www.quotetracker.com/reqreg.asp

Does anyone know a fix for this? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it still doesn't work.

I gave up long time ago, ended up switching account to TDA.
 
A forever user of QT. I have just read the firdt 90 pages of LOVE for our beloved Medveds and just joined ET.
Best of health to Mike and Jerry and may I ask how is your mother? They used to talk of mom before AMTD took them over and I was very, very happy for them and their new found fortune.

I thought they would have a lifetime job in supporting QT and was destroyed when everyone was shown the door. I yold AMTD management that they kill QT and in a heartbeat I am out of here.

Yahoo club forums used to be great and maybe sombody(not Jerry for obvious reasons) cound start a Yahoo club for old time QT users. When Christmas would come there were many pleasantries posted and they were happy times. QT was growing and the program had endless improvements. It was family and I am back to my family. I have said many a time I would go to war for the Medveds because they are old school and if they say they will do it consider it done.
You could email support any time of the day any day and in the beginning Jerry would respond in minutes with an answer. If he didn't you would think he was sick.
The entire team grew and it was like seeing tour own children grow up. I feel like a proud grandfather and when I see AMTD killing my child I am pissed.
May everyone have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy New Year. Screw the Mayans and long live QT or whatever the Medveds will call it when the non compete expires.

I realize QT is said to be finished and maybe it already is, but I was using it with no problems as of yesterday. However, now I try to open the program and it gets about half-way through and then freezes. Anyone have an idea about how to fix this? Maybe an update, etc.?

It is working fine for me but I am using ameritrade as a broker and data feeds.
I am looking for broker (Interactive broker) setup for trading purposes . The lgs and trd files.

Thanks if someone who is using IB has these files.
 
Seems that it doesn't like something with your settings. It definitely is not a general issue.

save your STOCKS.INI and PORT.XML files, then delete them and try starting QT again. That shoul;d get it running. If so, you can try restoring one of the files and try again, to see which one is choking it.

if it still doesn't work, let me know.

Thanks very much for the help. The fix you mentioned didn't work. I think I might have to reinstall. Is there a location for the latest version that I would be able to download? I didn't see it on the TD site.

After speaking with two PCE's over two weeks I filed the survey. It was filled honestly with some 6's, some 9's and others in between and nothing below a 6.
It wasn't great and I do like AMTD because I have been there as long as I have been with QT.
I don't know if it means anything to anybody but I feel relieved. One thing about being older you just say it and if they don't like it, ehh.
Presently doing a partial transfer to IB.

Margin rates are not realistic.
Uncle Ben says with my new helicopter take risk. AMTD says you must pay for risk.
I say Nike, just do it. Being done.
I offered to "rise above" but said I would never leave. I felt you would come to your senses. You felt I would come to my senses.

NEVER ABANDON QUOTETRACKER.
I have stated I will leave in a heartbeat.
