I just checked GMAIL setup. Here is the way it worked for me:

on the Portfolio and Alerts, elect the EMAIL TEMPLATES tab and click on the NEW TEMPLATE button. Then enter the following:
FROM email address: your Gmail address
Mail Server Address (SMTP): SMTP.GMAIL.COM
PORT: 587
Requires Authentication: CHECKED:
User ID and Password: your Gmail address and password

Hit SAVE CHANGES, then select the newly created template again, and hit the TEST button.

That worked here. If it is not working for you, check your firewall or antivirus software. It may be blocking all but recognized mail clients from sending out SMTP email

Question for those using the Ameritrade data feed for stocks:

Does this feed actually work ok for anyone?
Or is it really just this bad?
In the past I have run IQFeed and other broker feeds without issue.

-if I type a new symbol in an existing chart, it will backfill but more often than not won't stream going forward.
-I constantly have to scan the charts to make sure some have not just stopped streaming.
-sometimes the quotes won't start right at the open.

I'm running 3.9.8a with the patch, nothing else running except AVG and Skype.
I've done the "Clear Data for All Symbols", switched servers in "Select Quote Server", shut down-restart, hit "Stop/ Start" for the quotes... not sure what else I can do. Maybe a re-install and drop my settings back in?

If anyone has any suggestions or tips I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks very much for the suggestion.

It wasn't an issue with IQ so I never even thought of that.
I'll create a "random" portfolio and just throw the symbols in there whenever I'm putting up new charts.
Will post back.

I still use QT with MoneyAM feed but no back feed... still no problem. I blocked Quotetracker.com site by modifying hosts file. TD stoped sending me silly emails.

btw. Great program.

I have a request for the "new" one.
1. All EPIC codes to be in a single database, but able to create different watchlists from it. Option to select diferent feed data sources insite single database.
2. reset all epic buy prices in a watchlist with a single click.
