My hard drive failed a while back. I got all set up again, patches etc. Don't know what went wrong but am having the hardest time keeping "Start Quotes" on. I know I'm not worse at typing than I was before but every time I miss type a ticker, either in a portfolio or directly in the chart to change it, the "Top Panel" in all open portfolios goes red (annoying) and the various portfolio windows go into "Stop Quote" mode. Usually have 5 open and no matter how many times I change each one to "Start Quotes" they turn off again, even after the typo has been fixed. Eventually can get it worked but getting tired of this game. Any ideas to make it stop?
could be you have some garbage characters in the portfolio or chart somewhere that are causing a problem for the datafeed and it dies. no easy way to tell without looking at logs to see what error is returned. Also, may try hovering the mouse over the red connection indicator when it occurs to see what error is shown.
i don't know, still not working. if i switch to big charts then i have to manually click backfill to fill a chart everytime i enter one, so that's not good. with tda, backfill is still missing data. i think it's a tda conspiracy to screw with us. maybe they're trying to see how many complain to them to get an idea as to whether or not they'll go against their word in the email the other day and actually shut down everything
Does anyone know where a link to download QT is? Apparently Ameritrade took it off the QT website. I am an ameritrade customer and am getting a new computer that i want to put QT on. If I cant have QT.... Ameritrade isnt going to have me! Does anyone know where I can find a way to download it to a new computer? Thanks
