Looks like the vol problem on ES T/S i had Fri is ended for now.

In another QT thread a guy put up a link to a patch for QT which
allows for a bypass of the registration server and some other featurs as well. Supposedly, TDA will shut that server down
at the end of 2011.

Also a TD rep gave me a registration code valid thru 5/12 and made no mention of shutting down QT. On other threads here
a number of people claim QT will be no longer available after
end of 2011. Dont know whats going on...yet.

As far as i know, no updates for quite awhile.

1) Registration - This version is always registered for everyone, no matter what
2) max # of days on intraday charts increased from 20 to 60 - it still defaults to 20, but you can go to preferences and increase to 60. NOTE: right now there are 2 sources that can backfill 60 - TDA and IQFeed. But for others, QT will still store the data so you will build it up over time.

Thanks for the patch. (Actually, today was the first time I had an issue with logon to QT & IQFeed...Gave me only 2days intraday+also the ads, that was solved with patch/re-entering the reg code).

Re. item #2: How do you get more than the 10 days of intraday on the charts? Cannot go beyond the 10 in preferences...Using IQFeed as my feed...(Don't use AMTD as my broker).
 
Since midnight this morning 8/30/11, Future contract like GLOBEX:@ESU1 has not been updated from QT. Stock symobls works ok. Anyone had this problem also.

You're in preferences, charts tab, multi-day timeframes tab, right?
That's where you should be able to bump up the Max Days On Charts setting.

Make sure all of your quote sources are set correctly in the Data Sources/Proxy windows.

I can get quote on TWS, but not on QT through TWS. Are you using QT also and get ES/NQ quote from TWS?
 
I get my quotes from the IB TWS and use a couple of simple IB TWS Charts.
I use the QT Charting much more ... they were ok today, as far as I am able to determine.
