Sierracharts is the way to go, $18 a month for live trading on all brokers/datafeeds.
I understant it will keep working for people who purchased a license. It will likely stop working for people who intend to use it for free (assuming it hasn't stopped working yet).Quote from kralcd:
IS QT still going to work after 12/31/2011 but be unsupported or will it cease to function?
The problem is TD Ameritrade own copyright on QuoteTracker... and the latest indication is they are not planning to sell it or give it away. So, it's not a question of an independent developer dedicating a little time to it.Quote from high99:
I spoke with them about this a few months ago. It will still work, however should your quote source change something on their end which then makes it incompatible with QT, it most likely would stop working or have problems or issues. And, there would be nobody on QT's end to fix the problem. Perhaps some white knight will come along and pick up QT, as it does seem to have amassed a good number of users over the past 20 years or so. It would be a shame to see it wither away.

As support for QT declines and more competition crowd the space, it's getting more and more difficult for a "white knight" to make an offer to TDA they can't refuseQuote from high99:
We all understand it is owned by TDA. That is a given. However something may change down the road, and QT may live on. Time will tell.
but the time will tell.
