No it isn’t.

Right-click any chart and go to “Chart Period” - you can choose any periods listed there or the “custom period” to make your own.

After you’re done with every symbol/chart’s setting, save layout then exit. QT will “remember” the layout/settings next time you start it.

Re candle/bar width, go to Preference > Charts > Miscellaneous, set the “Max candle width” and/or "Max OHLC thickness" to a small number.

BTW you can still ask any questions at the QT Users Forum

Max candle width limits the width of individual candles, but does not affect the spacing. So now I have 50 candles filling up a screen, with really narrow profiles.

Since the boards are down...In my charts, I have a certain amount of data loaded. The scrollbar takes up the whole width of the chart, making the bars really fat. This is only a problem with some symbols. E.g. Asian symbols have less data per day than American. If I load 3 days of American (ES), the bars look like the right width. But I need to load maybe 8 days of Asian data to have a good-looking chart. But in QT, days loaded is a global setting. So I either need to, 1) find a way to make the scrollbar wider than the chart to make the bars of data narrower, or 2) have some way to control days loaded per chart.

make sure you have the latest revision 3.8.5f

previous versions had issues with scrollbars and subtabs on startup, make sure you save the layout when a normal screen is loaded
