QUOTETRACKER REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

Beginning September 21, 2009, using QuoteTracker with US Brokers for datafeeds and Integrated trading will require that QuoteTracker is registered. Get FREE fully registered access to QuoteTracker by opening a TD AMERITRADE Account. Otherwise, you would need to get a paid registration to continue using QuoteTracker with your broker.

I'm sticking with QT as long as I can.

14 bucks a month is still a sweet deal compared to what you get. And for IB TWS data its the best option regardless of price.

Agreed.
And the DTN "IQ-Feed" works real well with QT.
:)

... if you don't mind the bugs they have in their IB interface (artificial volume spikes and others) that are there for years and which they do not bother to fix.

QT better than Ami?
Hmm you made me smile a lot. While I never took a serious look at QT (it looks very cheapish and amateur like, just for those whom 10-15 dollars a month is too much and who cant even meet the PDT a/c balance) Amibroker is an excellent tool for prototyping trading strategies. Seriously, show me a tool that has a faster algorithm to zoom through historical data and I will bow to you. Amibroker can hook up to IB, Esignal, IQfeed and tons other feeds, the charting looks way better than QT and you can code pretty much anything you want in no time. So, which part about QT is better except that its for the freebe lovers?

It's inevitable that TD Ameritrade will stop supporting IB. They are competing brokers. What's the point of building software for your competitors?

It's a shame, I've gotten very used to QT. IB's chart are not very good. I have AmiBroker but it's also worse than QT.

I would go with TradeStation but I'm not trading daily now and don't think I can justify the $99/month fee.

true, this is a lot of effort, well, some people spend time working and trading or making money elsewhere, and others are true believers in Web 2.0 who provide all the content to the rest of us, thanks LANDIS!!! LOL

it's not surprising that looking at more than one time frame would leave you confused

just 6 more posts to go and you will have a full 8000 posts of useless shit

8000 times 10 minutes per post (reading thread, and responding) = 80,000 minutes

/60 = 1,333 hours

/40 hour week = 33.3

33.3 40hr work weeks you've spent in the last 3 years, making a public ass of yourself on this messageboard, with your stupid comments

and that's just on this site alone

get a life
