Quotetracker - Ameritrade wants to kill it

Just to make it clear.
I was TOTALLY happy with QT BEFORE TDA took them over.
It's a great program! Unparalled charts & functionality.
Since TDA took over... NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

No problems for me, and I have been using QT with the MBT feed for years. If you don't already know, you now have to use/have two user names, one for QT login, and one for MBT login.

Hi y'all
Jerry medved himself found my post on this forum (dont know how) and he fixed the problem by sending me a pre-release update of the QT program which now WORKS PERFECTLY!
JERRY IS THE MAN !!
Apparently MBTrading changed the API interface/server program(effective 7/30/10) for data feed downloads uni-laterally (ie. apparently didn't notify QT.. TDA..OR other 3rd party developers etc) to release their new MBT program for their clients.
This TOTALLY screwed uo the data feeds & in the case of QT program left it unable to login at all to get any data when used with MBT.
This left my trading system completely down for 18 days !!!!!!
I want to make this VERY CLEAR! THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM CAUSED BY QT (or JMedved).
All my other previous comments regarding the TDA & MBT tech support (& the lack therof) are still pretty much accurate.
 
I'm having the same problem as RG1. Cannot log into QT using MB Trading, my AMTD account works fine so I suspect its something with the login script. Hopefully someone can chime in with the patch (RG1?).
 
Jerry Medved? I thought he had nothing to do with QT any longer.
So what is going on? Why would he have a pre release copy of the Beta?????

Did Jerry retain some rights to the QT software or what??

Maybe we can get Jerry to come here and explain this situation.

BTW ...Im a happy user of QT for 5 yrs

several times in the past. Good guy. Always helpful.

Im going to try to investigate a little more. i may be back on this thread again.
