Quickly rich with bitcoin?

The big advantage of BTC is that once the BTC is transfered it is gone forever. You don't know where and you don't know to whom. That's why there are so many BTC scams. Perfect construction for criminals. With fiat money it is much more difficult as there are a lot of traces left.

Well then don't send your money to scammers or criminals to begin with. Why should any company have to do extra work on returning someone's money over stupidity? But I guess idiots need insurance:rolleyes:

...Not a day goes by that I don't get at least one or two emails from some unregulated Forex broker operating from some island country I've never even heard of.

Lol, can you name some? Don't say Wallis and Futuna, I've already heard of that one...

There are so many it's ridiculous. Most of them come from Vanuatu, and a handful of other remote islands.

I meet somebody I know who was into BTC. When he was surfing on internet he found this website: https://www.btcchain.tech/PLANS

Like most people who have no clue what bitcoin is and how it works, he was interested in the huge returns they were showing on their website. He was thinking: I will do this just a few days, take the profit and close the account.
He invested 200,000 Euro in it by transferring BTC to the wallet of that company. The company pretended that they were licensed, but what they are showing on the website is just the registration of a company. So they mislead people.
As promised the profits skyrocketed, so as planned the client wanted to withdraw the money. But then these people say that the money was still blocked for pending positions. He should wait three months.
After three months it was clear that the money was gone and all was fake.
The client then had the "brilliant" idea to trade his account himself. His intention was to make huge losses so that the criminals would not be able to steal the money he already lost. So he went short when markets went up, and went long when markets went down. He was expecting to make huge losses. So he was very surprised to see that the result of his trading showed a profit of over 700,000 $.
Then he realized that the whole thing was fake.

Imagine the mindset of a person who would be taken in by such an obvious scam? Sad.

He was three months in shock.
He was trading 25 years stocks and always very careful.
I thought he was joking. It took me weeks before I was convinced it really happened.

So to end this thread, we have concluded that the only way to get scammed with Bitcoin would be to give your Bitcoin to a scammer.

So in conclusion

Don't ever let a scammer, or fear, take your Bitcoin.

Completely wrong. We did not conclude that, YOU concluded that as a crypto fan.
A financial system should be save from design. The system should be adapted to the people; people don't have to adapt to the system.

Crypto's are just the opposite:
  • crypto's are just digital, fiat money is not.
  • crypto's are anonymous or at least very difficult to trace, fiat money is not.
  • crypto's are backed by air, fiat money is not.
  • wrong payments in crypto's cannot be cancel, fiat money can do that.
  • crypto's have "mixers" to hide criminal money much better.
  • If somebody has your crypto's password, your account is lost for ever, if people have the code to enter my bank account, they can take only part of my money, I am also insured against this, so the damage is limited.
  • and 1000 other arguments...
It is no wonder that almost all criminals now want to be paid in crypto's, if fiat money would be "safer" for them, they would never go to crypto's.

You are just trying to push people to get into crypto's. But there is no reason why they should. They can go to casino if they want to gamble. And there at least they don't risk to lose all they have, like they do in crypto's.
